The Velox Phishing Crisis refers to [[Velox Cruentus]] gaining access to several Graal accounts through an advanced [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phishing phishing] method. This was the worst breach in Graal security since the [[Christmas Password-Theft Crisis]] in December of 2001.

In late September, 2005, Velox posted a [http://forums.graalonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61473 thread] stating he had created a new website, [http://www.graalians.com Graalians.com], which allowed [[Graalian|Graalians]] to create elaborate profiles, post screenshots, and post server reviews. This was a factual statement. There was not a single person who expressed suspicion and most of the replies to the thread were positive, with [[James205]] calling the website, "probably the best [[Graal]] website I've seen."

Registration at the website required the user to state their Graal account name, provide an E-Mail address, and create a password. Some members used the same password for Graalians.com as they used for their Graal accounts and/or their E-Mail accounts. This allowed Velox to get the passwords to several Graal accounts. Either because the member had used the same password for both Graal and Graalians.com, or by accessing their E-Mail and requesting the password, or finding it in an undeleted E-Mail from [[Cyberjoueurs]].

Velox was also able to gain access to the [http://www.paypal.com PayPal] accounts of [[Draenin]], [[Cypher]] and [[Tupper]] by accessing their E-Mail accounts and requesting the PayPal password.

Velox put this information to use in early November, 2005, by stealing several items from accounts on various servers, often resetting the accounts when he was done.

He also transferred $350 (USD) out of Cypher's PayPal account and $450 (USD) out of Tupper's, a serious criminal offense.

[[Damix]] was the first to realize that something was wrong when his roomate, [[Lylic]], realized his account had been accessed. Damix connected the security breach to Graalians.com and Velox. He then informed [[Stefan]] via [[RC]].

Velox Cruentus is a long time 'player' of Graal Online. He is mainly known as being the short-lived Manager of Era and a fairly good [[Scripter]]. He never really played Graal Online, but has been more occupied by programming all the time.

Velox Cruentus doesn't have a stable staff position; He keeps coming on going on a variety of servers.
Velox Cruentus currently owns Relic, and helps out most people who asks him nicely.

Velox Cruentus started playing Graal in 1998, and quickly started playing N-Pulse. He then moved around servers to servers until he finally worked on a server called Termina. After Termina turned P2P and the server quickly fall, Velox Cruentus started working on Doomsday and Shaded Legend. He eventually became Manager of Era within 50 hours of his onlinetime, due to the hasty resignation of Andrew. He remained Manager for roughly a month, and eventually resigned due to a multitude of reasons, (including a girl recieving "gifts", Stefan denoted he wasn't Manager but Lead Programmer, School Marks decreasing, lack of interest in Era, dissatisfied with the attitude of players, conflicting views on the future of Era, wish to make an RPG Server, ... He had MANY reasons why he quit ) ( which the turning point was a player-made form of complaint for the removal of the Manager). He eventually got his own server, and is currently working on it with Tony Rivers.

The '''Kai''' is just that kind of guy, y'know? The kind that'll punch you in the face for disrespecting his shoes, but then fly halfway across the world to save you from mutant maneating savages. It is not just because savages give good EXP; deep down, under all the layers of carefully-assembled evil, there is a spark of good in his heart. But he is very embarrassed about the whole thing, and would prefer if you didn't mention it.

Also, he is awesome at [[GScript|scripting]]. You can mention that part as much as you want.

== Community ==

The Kai's role in the [[Graal]] community was that of a long-range cynic. He habitually stalked the [[Graal Communication Center]] in search of new prey, while doing everything he could to undermine the benevolent administration. At least, this was the role attributed to him by the current batch of [[GCC:Super_moderator|supermods]]. He knew it was supposed to be derogatory, but he kind of liked it!

The Kai could regularly be seen arguing with people who didn't know any better. If you ever wanted somebody to tell you how stupid your religion is, he happily provided that service.

== Development Areas ==

As mentioned above, the Kai exceled in the creation of GScript, but was generally too lazy to do anything about it. This was exacerbated by the fact that he lacked graphical skills. It is theorised that both sides of his brain fused pre-natally, forming some kind of super uberleft, but nobody would grant him the research funds to confirm this.

At times the Kai would be enthusing about some new idea for a [[playerworld]]. Do not be fooled! He never had any belief that he would actually make this into a real project, he just liked designing stuff. If you offered to work for him or, for some reason, told him to work for you, he would fix you with a glare. A glare that has killed stronger men than you. Just don't push it, okay?

== Staff Positions ==

He has quite the history!

In the early days of his Graal career, he was loosely affiliated with both Faheria and Tempest of Time, but quickly jumped ship when he was invited to script for the [[NewWorld]] project. This was his gateway into the community, and what netted him a working [[Graal Communication Center|forum]] account. He left after a while. He is kind of commitmentphobic.

Though initially reluctant, he spent a short time working on [[Graal2001]] and even joined the way-too-inclusive club of one-time managers. Prestigious enough to warrant mention? It's dicey. Anyway, people kept abusing their power and editing his scripts, so he yelled at them all and went home.

For about two years he served as supermod for the [[Graal Communication Center]], ruling over all its denizens with an awesome iron fist, but eventually resigned for reasons that were quickly censored. It is sufficient to say that he was tired of working with inadequate tools for inadequate employers - [[Unixmad|one of which]] ignored all of his input while [[Stefan|the other]] reversed all of his decisions. Shortly after leaving, he was replaced by [[Moon Goddess|two]] [[Spark911|idiots]]. C'est la vie.

He was at one time a member of the GST.

Googi's Mining Crusade was the campaign by [[Googi]] to change the [[mining]] system on [[Graal2001]] to prevent [[rock stealing]]. The campaign began with an attempt to get owner tags added to rocks, but later changed to attempting to get a mining system which allowed for the renting of private mining areas.

== Owner Tags ==

In Googi's first post on the [[Graal Communication Center]], Googi created a [http://forums.graalonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15785 thread] complaining about rock stealing and enquiring as to it's legal status. Soon after, Googi posted [http://forums.graalonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16217 the thread that became the central thread of the campaign for owner tags]. Although a commanding majority of people voted that rocks should have owner tags, they were never added. Although Alkaren did make rock stealing illegal soon after the thread was posted.

== Private Mines ==

When [[BirdBird]] became manager of Graal2001, Googi began to harrass him, as Googi harrassed all managers of Graal2001, to add owner tags to rocks. BirdBird then promised Googi that private mines, called [[The Endless Mines of Doom]], would be created where private caves could be rented by a single person. Googi created such great hype for this that when BirdBird created the underground cave system in [[Mount Antora]] people immediately assumed that this was where the private mines would be added and they were dubbed by the players The Endless Mines of Doom. As BirdBird never resisted this they became the de facto name of the caves.

As time passed, however, private mines were not added. As a result, Googi created the scripts and levels required for a private mine system, but BirdBird never uploaded them. Googi's scripts, however, would not have worked even if they had been uploaded. When management passed to Kamuii, Googi continued the campaign, but during this time the server died, and so the campaign died with it.

== Miners Inc and the Crusade ==

When the mining co-op guild [[Miners Inc]] was created, Googi at first wrote them off, even comparing them to the miners union in the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UK_miners'_strike_(1984-1985) UK Miners' Strike of 1984-85]. After talking with the leader, however, Googi joined for a short time. The guild was never significant in either of the two campaigns, however.

Kamuii was a pretty famous member of 2K1. He joined the [[Dustari]] kingdom and pretty quickly became King. He held onto the leadership position of Dustari longer than any Kingdom leader has held onto a leadership position of any kingdom on 2K1 or 2K2...maybe. He was considered such an authority on kingdoms that when the Zack, Emperor of [[Zormite]], was removed from his position for sucking, Kamuii was given the choice of who would become the new Emperor. He solved the problem by picking Toad, who was never around to suck.

Kamuii later became manager of 2K1 even though he didn't really hold a staff position which would in any way be considered successor to the manager. But he ''was'' pretty good friends with the outgoing manager, BirdBird. As manager Kamuii used money created using RC to purchase a Sarma 0 bomy. After that he didn't really do anything, but he did write some interesting stuff about inflation. He eventually resigned and [[Jeff]] became manager.

Kamuii is an avid forumgoer. For many years he had the highest postcount on the forums. He was surpassed by [[Kaimetsu]] recently, but is still a solid number two. Kamuii is also a supermod on the forums, and is way more respected than any of the other ones. Kamuii has a long and interesting history on the forums. He once put an image rotator in his sig which sometimes rotated to some very risqué images, resulting in the both legendary and forgotten [[Kamuii-Koni-Sigla-Googi-OtherPeople Image Decency Wars]]. He also once sparked controversy by counting the number of times he cut his arms in his signature (Kamuii is a masochist which earned him a place on [[Googi's Hardcore List]]). There are many faux-pas you can make on the forums that will greatly anger Kamuii. He hates it when you talk about bans. He hates it when you talk about E-Mails or PMs he sent you. But ''more than anything else'' he hates it when you quote his [http://www.livejournal.com/users/kamuii Livejournal] to make him look like an idiot. Don't do this.

Kamuii at one time wanted to live in Japan and even learnt Japanese. He has since forgotten it however. Kamuii seems to forget a lot of things. Kamuii yearly goes to Anime Expo with [[Scarlett]], his ex-girlfriend and fellow ex-Graalian, and yearly blows her off. Kamuii seems to blow off a lot of things. And people. He likes long playlists and writing poetry. One of Kamuii's goals is to lose his virginity by 2007. He had a chance at that, and then blew that off too. He probably forgot. You may want to write this stuff down as it could be gone once Kamuii reads this page. Afterwards you may find some stuff on [[Googi]]'s page, which could possibly include the fact that Googi once tried to copy Marle's signature and avatar set and was totally owned when she changed the image her signature URL directed to, or that Googi is related to people with the last name Mackel. The first server that Googi played extensively was [[N-Pulse]]. Googi was largely a [[player killer]] on this server. After some time playing, Googi joined a [[guild]] known as the [[Dragon Knights]], and rose to the rank of Squire, and later became part of an exclusive "PKer" rank. When new guild regulations required that all guilds to be endorsed by a number of players with [[Pay to Play]] accounts, Googi purchased one for this purpose, which also gave Googi access to Graal2001.

As a Graal2001 player, Googi was a strong advocate of owner-tags being placed on rocks that were part of the [[mining]] job, the criminalization of [[rock stealing]], and of anti-scamming features being added to the Graal2001 [[marketplace]].

After upgrading, Googi spent more time on Graal 2001 and less on N-Pulse. In an attempt to expand the Dragon Knights guild, Googi was promoted to the recruiting rank of Baron, after which point Googi played Graal2001 nearly exclusively. The abbreviation of the Baron rank, Br, being present in Googi's name put a large number of people under the impression that Googi was Brazillian. For a few months, Googi was dedicated to the cause of recruiting new Dragon Knights on Graal2001, and even once attempted to get the guild [[Kingdom]] status. However, the guild collapsed around January 2002, and Googi abandon all ties with it.

Soon after Dragon Knights collapsed, Googi became a member of the Graal2001 [[Events Team]], and also joined the [[Zormite]] kingdom as a guard, just in time for the Emperor of the day, [[Zack]], to be removed from power and replaced by [[Toad]]. Toad promoted Googi to the position of Head Guard, a position Googi maintained during the rule of many Emperors.

=== Googi as a Bomy ===

Shortly after becoming Head Guard of Zormite, Googi underwent an account reset and restarted Graal2001 playing as a [[Bomy]]. Despite Bomys being unable to mine, Googi continued to lobby for changes to the mining system.

Most of Googi's tenure as Head Guard of Zormite was served as a Bomy. Googi dedicated a great deal of time and power as head guard to retrieving the crowns of [[Dustari]] from the bandit guild [[Karakaze Troupe]], who Googi held a grudge against because of their involvement in both rock stealing and [[scamming]]. When [[Brad]] became Emperor of Zormite (for a second time), the position of Head Guard was abolished and Googi was made a Royal Guard. Soon after Googi defected to Dustari, which was shortly after destroyed by Karakaze Troupe. Googi was left kingdomless.

While a Bomy, Googi also became a [[FAQ]], largely because Googi had created an extensive Graal2001 help website, and was promoted to FAQ chief when [[Jeff]] became manager of the server. At this point, however, Graal2001 was largely innactive and Googi soon relinquished the position to [[Chris]], believing that Chris was more competent. Googi attempted to create scripts to help revive Graal2001 but only one, which created varying types of pearls in the [[Pearl Diving]] job. All others were failures due to Googi's lack of scripting skill, especially when it comes to online scripting. Not giving up hope on a Graal2001 revival, but giving up hope on being able to be part of that revival, Googi switched to mainly playing Graal Kingdoms, known also as Graal2002.

== Googi and Graal 2002 ==

Googi began playing Graal2002 from time to time after it was released, but mostly played Graal2001 up until Graal2001 collapsed. Now playing Graal2002 more often, Googi has acquired a house on [[Samurai Island]] as well as an impressive collection of speed boosting equipment. Googi's high speed has even caused [http://forums.graalonline.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57986 accusations] that Googi is [[speed hacking]].

Googi is an active member of the [[Graal Communication Center]], and, over the years, has accumulated enough posts to have the third highest post count in all of Graal, exceeded only by [[Kaimetsu]], in 1st, and [[Kamuii]], in 2nd. Googi also has the highest postcount among people who have never held a moderation position on the forums.

Googi initially used the forums as a means to recruit for the Dragon Knights guild, and to advocate for marketplace and mining reforms, but used them mainly for socializing. Today Googi uses the forums exclusively for socializing.
